His
Excellency Hussain Al- Hammadi, Minister of Education, said that the Ministry
of Education is taking firm steps to consolidate efforts for building an
effective and full-fledged early childhood system. This conference aims to
reinforce the efforts exerted in this direction, where brains, competencies and
knowledge pioneers met under one roof. He pointed out that the conference
presented an opportunity for educational leaders and teachers to enhance their
skills and experiences in the field of early childhood through being acquainted
with best practices and global products of research and others in this field.
This
came on the second and final day of the Early Childhood Development Conference,
organized by the Ministry of Education at the Ajman Teacher Training Center,
under the title "Redesigning early childhood care and education
services".
His
Excellency Hussain Al- Hammadi said that childhood is a very important stage of
development and we work together with entities, institutions and individuals in
the UAE in a consistent manner to achieve the best practices that concern this
category. He pointed out that the Ministry of Education will spare no effort to
achieve this by enriching the kindergarten stage with the best educational
competencies and expertise, and providing a stimulating learning environment
and high-quality curricula, in
addition to providing tools for achieving sustainable outputs. He added that
the Ministry seeks to ensure that this segment of childhood continues to
develop their educational, mental, intellectual and moral abilities in order to
nurture generations that contribute to the building of the UAE future and its
renaissance at a confident and ambitious pace.
International
experts and researchers and
local educators, who participated in the first Early Childhood Development
conference organized by the Ministry of Education, agreed that the core
components and policies for Early Childhood Development are considered
strategic for the development of children in the UAE, and that achieving a
happy learning environment is one of the factors that will make children
thrive.
The
conference was attended by 1100 educators with the participation of 55
international and local experts and researchers, and the conference is the
first of a series of conferences to be organized by the Ministry of Education
in the United Arab Emirates. This conference was held in cooperation with the Supreme
Council for Motherhood and Childhood and the International Bureau of Education
- UNESCO and UNICEF.
