Arabic Language Teaching Strategies

In the presence of His Excellency Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education and H.E Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Ameri, Chairman of the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA), The Arabic Language Education Centre for the Gulf countries celebrated the launch of its new edition entitled “Arabic Language Teaching Strategies". It is one of the most important publications of the Center in the field of developing teaching and learning of Arabic language, targeting grades (1 to 6).

This edition consists of five parts: (Strategies of teaching Arabic language skills, Strategies of teaching the elements of Arabic language, The reality of using Arabic language teaching strategies, Active strategies of teaching, and The Training program on strategies of teaching Arabic Language).

The celebration of  the launch of the edition was held at the Sharjah International Book Fair, the platform of the Ministry of Education and it was attended by a number of officials from the Ministry of Education, teachers, students and the public.

This edition was made by a number of specialized experts and university professors in the field of curriculum and methods of teaching the Arabic language. It was also reviewed in several stages by the educational experts as well as by the Center as well as final review in the Department of Control and Quality in the Arab Education Bureau for the Gulf Countries. Later, the edition came to light.

Within the framework of the continuous cooperation between The Arabic Language Education Centre for the Gulf Countries and the Ministry of Education, coordination was made with the Teachers Training Institute in respect of the Center's participation in the specialized training forum in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain,  Sharjah and Ajman. The Center will provide seven training programs, including four programs dealing with this new edition. This will include a set of modern strategies in the teaching Arabic language, from which the new foreign and Arabic studies have benefited greatly.

The second phase of this edition’s printing is in progress. This will include three parts, targeting grades 7 to 12.

Dr. Issa Al Hammadi, Director of the Arabic Language Education Center for the Gulf Countries thanked and appreciated the continuous support of the Minister of Education for the Center and for carrying out its studies and programs. The Ministry of Education is keen on supporting studies, research and publications that will improve education.
