H.E Hussain Bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, crowned the young winners of the WorldSkills “Abu Dhabi 2017” competition, whose ages ranged from 15 to 17 years old. The competition included 1300 competitors from 59 countries.
The gold, silver and bronze medals were awarded in accordance with the technical results.
His Excellency congratulated all medal winners, and commended all participants in this competition, which was held on the side-line of the main competition, and the competition included graphic design, electrical installations and robotic works, with participation of four young teams from the United Arab Emirates, Russia, Finland and the Republic of Belarus.
Mubarak Saeed Al Shamsi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training, stated that the organizing committee will announce the winners of the 51 main skills in the world competition today, which includes 1300 competitors from 59 countries.
The gold medal went to competitors Maxim Al Zannouf and Daniel Calin from Russia, while UAE nationals Salim Mohammad Al Zahmi, Ali Rashid Ali Abdullah, Sofia Bukiva and Margaret Derontz shared the silver medal, and competitors Daniella Lunov and Zamila Wologer Jorgen received the bronze medal in the electrical installations skill category.
In the graphic design skills category, Dara Frakdna received the gold medal while Jalbib Maskovoken and UAE competitor Fatima Ali Mohammad Al Shahhi received the bronze medal. Russia won all three medals in the robotic skill category for the young.
