The Ministry of Education (MOE) calls upon the students who plan to join higher education institutions, particularly high school graduates, and their parents to verify the recognition of the universities and academic programs they intend to join to complete their university studies whether inside and outside the State.
On this occasion, the MOE stressed that this invitation comes within the framework of its keenness on helping students to obtain a distinguished educational level which meets the plans and ambitions of the State in finding human resources that continue development process aside from ensuring the quality of education in the undergraduate stage for the students inside and outside the State.
His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Mualla, MOE Undersecretary for Higher Education Academic Affairs, stated that the MOE, based on its keenness on providing the guidance and awareness necessary for students and ensuring that they obtain a high quality education, has made available on its website two main services to verify the recognition of universities and academic programs.
He explained that concerned persons can use the service "To Whom It May Concern Certificate" to inquire about higher education private and governmental institutions licensed to work within the State and the programs approved in these institutions by the Academic Accreditation Authority of the MOE.
He referred to the service of "Inquire about educational institutes/Study program" which enables the concerned persons to verify the recognition of the institutions and programs outside the State where the MOE verifies if the institution and the program to be studied have the accreditation necessary in the country wherein a student will study along with making sure that the program meets the criteria of diploma equivalence system applicable in the State.
He drew attention to the need to deal with high responsibility towards the advertisements displayed to join higher education institutions in various media and invited people to deal with them seriously and make sure of the credibility of these institutions through the MOE by communicating with it through various channels of communication available, including the service of "Inquire about educational institutes /Study program".
The service aims at providing the student with an official document issued by the MOE stating the accreditation of the educational institution and questioned study program if the study meets the criteria of diploma equivalence system and the service "To Whom It May Concern Certificate" concerning the accreditation of higher education institutions within the State as well as issuing To Whom It May Concern Certificates for the accreditation of private and governmental higher education institutions within the State and their academic programs accredited.
