The Ministry of Education announces a list for the top ten graduates in the Emirati School
30856 students underwent the grade 12 examinations on a State level
90% success rate for students in the advanced syllabus and 76% success rate for students in the general syllabus
The Ministry of Education announced yesterday afternoon the results of the final examinations for grade 12 students in both the advanced and general syllabuses and all other types of education, within the first group of students in the Emirati School, where the number of students undergoing examinations on a state level reached 30 thousand 856 students, and the number of students in government and private schools following the Ministry of Education curriculum reached 22 thousand 803 and the number of high schools students in Abu Dhabi reached 8 thousand 53 students.
On this occasion, H.E Hussain Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, congratulated all graduates from the twelfth grade in all its syllabuses, praising such great results and academic excellence, and at the same time congratulating their parents on their children’s outstanding achievement attributed to their constant follow-up, encouragement and motivation towards success. He also praised the evident efforts exerted by teachers and administration staff which formed the first foundation contributing to the establishment of quality in the Emirati School.

His Excellency ensured to personally call the top twelfth grade students to inform them of their outstanding success and achievement of well-deserved high scores, where he congratulated and wished them a prosperous future and urged them to continue their journey of excellence and academic achievement, emphasizing that they constitute the future of the nation and the wise leadership counts on them for the continuation of development in the State and the creation of the nation’s pillars, and that they will lead the development process forward.
His Excellency stated: We are proud of our students and this exceptional achievement for the Emirati School since this is the first group of graduates of the Emirati School which holds great hopes and aspirations towards a shining future for education in the UAE, and at the same time, he called upon students to continue learning to reach higher educational platforms that have no limits, stressing that the wise leadership is proud of them and their accomplishments and has always ensured to provide a supporting environment for youth and has and still remains in providing all kinds of support for education which stems from their belief in its importance for our survival in global leadership and in accomplishment of further achievements and gains for the State.

In details, the number of students in twelfth grade at both government and private schools applying the Ministry’s curriculum (advanced syllabus) as well as private schools applying the Ministry’s curriculum in Abu Dhabi reached 8 thousand and 58 students, while the number of students in government and private schools applying the Ministry’s curriculum (general syllabus) as well as private schools applying the Ministry’s curriculum in Abu Dhabi reached 9 thousand and 388 students. Regarding number of students at continuous academic learning applying the Ministry’s curriculum in addition to students at private schools in Abu Dhabi applying the Ministry’s curriculum reached one thousand and 780 students, while the number of students in continuous learning (home schooling) along with private education students applying the Ministry’s curriculum in Abu Dhabi reached 3 thousand and 487 students.
The Ministry of Education revealed the success rate of students in twelfth grade whereby the rate for students within the advanced syllabus at government and private schools applying the Ministry’s curriculum reached 90,91% while the rate for students in private schools in Abu Dhabi that apply the Ministry’s curriculum reached 90,82%. As for students within the general syllabus at government and private schools applying the Ministry’s curriculum reached 76,76% while the rate for students in private schools in Abu Dhabi that apply the Ministry’s curriculum reached 68,60%. Regarding continuous academic learning, the success rate reached 50,18% while the rate in private schools in Abu Dhabi that apply the Ministry’s curriculum reached 40,70%; and finally, success rates for continuous learning (home schooling) reached 3,40% while the success rate in private schools in Abu Dhabi that apply the Ministry’s curriculum reached 5,78%.
The Ministry announced the list for the top ten graduates of all nationalities in the advanced syllabus where the student, Amin Mohammed Amin Freij from Al Shouala Private School in Sharjah came first place (Private – Ministry Curriculum) with a success rate of 99.8% and a total score of 1197,8. As for the general syllabus, the student Rawan Ismat Essam Salim Ghazal from Al Shouala Private School in Sharjah (Private – Ministry Curriculum) came first place with a success rate of 99.4% and an overall score of 1092.9.
In accordance with the top graduates list for UAE nationals, the student, Amal Juma Khafan Al Kaabi came first place in the advanced syllabus (Public Education – Ministry Curriculum) from Muzer’ei Basic & Secondary Education School for Girls in Ajman with a success rate of 99,3% and an overall score of 1191,5. As for the general syllabus, the student, Maitha Abdul Hamid Mohammed Al Ahmed from Al Thahra Basic & Secondary Education School in Dubai (Public Education – Ministry Curriculum) came first place with a success rate of 99.2% and an overall score of 1090.9.
Commenting on the results, the Ministry of Education stressed that the study subjects according to the new teaching approach at the Emirati School featured aspects of academic work and activities that enhance the philosophy of comprehensiveness, the concepts of which were established by the Emirati School within the national framework of learning standards.
The Ministry clarified that since subjects involving activities have great value and goals in refining the traits of the Emirati School graduate, the academic part took priority when reporting marks through phone messages sent to students and parents, while emails aimed at achieving comprehensiveness between the academic and activities aspect in the education process to provide the student with his overall score in all subjects, including physical education in the final results.
The Ministry considered that these messages came to draw the attention of the entire community that the educational process is not limited to an examination paper only, but that all study subjects contribute to the making of a good global citizen who enjoys extensive skills and who centers his practices on creativity and innovation. Therefore, the entire community should deem each subject provided within the education plan as a subject that contributes to the making of future generations.
