The Ministry of Education is organizing the Parents'
Conference under the title "Partners in Our Journey ", which will be
held for the first time with the aim of enhancing the role of parents in
promoting the march of education in the country. The event will be held next
Wednesday at Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi under the patronage of His
Excellency Hussein bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education and in the
presence of Jameela bint Salem Al Muhairi, Minister of State for Public
Education, and His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Bahloul, Minister of State for Higher
Education and Advanced Skills.
A number of experts,
educators, parents, education leaders and specialists will participate in the
conference to discuss important and urgent educational issues that contribute
to enhancing the parents’ role in the development and advancement of education
in the UAE.
The conference will
be dedicated to the vision of the Ministry of Education and its ambitious
strategic goals, and its serious endeavor to connect and integrate with all
segments of the local community and exchange ideas and experiences that serve
the educational process in the UAE and contribute to building a family and
community system that achieves complementarity between parents and school, as
well as the embodiment of the principle of sustaining effective participation
in the education of our students and enhancing their role as parents in
improving the students' academic, social, intellectual and cognitive
development.
The idea of the
educational conference is based on highlighting the important and vital role of
parents in the educational process. The Emirati school needs joined efforts and
supportive ideas to achieve its vision of graduating a pioneering generation
that accomplishes top positions in global competitiveness.
The conference will
contribute to enhancing complementarity, and each party will be fully
responsible for achieving the UAE Vision and its aspiration to be a global
leader, therefore it is an important step to clarify the partnership between
the home and the school. The Ministry also enhances its vision through
continued interaction with the parent, which is considered an effective and
impactful factor.
The conference aims
to highlight the role of parents in supporting the educational process and the
achievement of National Agenda Indicators in terms of educational aspects, and
raising awareness of the importance of parents' support for the educational
development plans in the Emirati school, as well as contribute to building a family
and community system to enhance the partnership between the home and the
school, and provide the opportunity for educational experts and academics in
various education fields to exchange knowledge, information and experiences in
the area of partnership with parents. In addition to reviewing the latest
developments and changes in the field of parental partnership in order to
improve the quality of field practices, celebrate the distinguished partnership
practices in the education field through its presentation and utilization, and
establish a sustainable communication network that provides opportunities for
cooperation between parents and schools.
