The "MoE" and the Parental Leadership Council design a vision for the development of the UAE School for the next three years

-      The Parents' Leadership Council approves the launching of the Parents' First Gulf Conference Soon

 

The Ministry of Education MoE held last week in the Teacher Training Center in Ajman the first meeting with the Parents' Leadership Council of the Ministry within the framework of strengthening the partnership with the educational field, namely the students' parents, in preparation to design a common vision for the development of the UAE school and education sector during the next three years.

 

During the meeting, the Council approved a set of recommendations that will be implemented later, the most important is the launching of the Parents' First Gulf Conference, as well as the formation of work teams to follow the recommendations and to prepare proposals related to the topics presented during the discussion.

 

The meeting was attended by H. E. Hussain Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, H.E. Eng. Abdullrahman
Al Hammadi, MoE Undersecretary for Supervision and Support Services, Fawzia Hasan Gharib, Assistant Undersecretary for the School Operations Sector, directors of the educational zones, educational executives and a large number of educational leaders and Parents' Leaders Council members.  

 

During the meeting a large number of central educational issues concerning the local community were discussed, including the role of parents in the positive upbringing, attendance and absence of students, early childhood, development of the parents list, participation in the development and support of the educational policies and the system of student affairs, educational and cultural trips inside and outside the country, learners behavior code, as well as other important related topics that are at the heart of the educational process.

 

At the beginning of the meeting, H. E. Hussain Al-Hammadi stressed the importance of the meeting in the establishment of supporting frameworks for the educational process, in light of the urgent need to intensify efforts and unify vision to include the educational field views and ideas in the MoE plans, namely the students' parents, which have an important impact on the promotion of educational mobility, as the parents have specific perceptions regarding the reality of the education sector's requirements and concerns, and they are more qualified to express them. H. E. added that the views presented by the parents will receive the MoE considerable attention.

 

His Excellency thanked the Parents' Leaderships Council members for their responsiveness, as well as their interest and participation in the MoE future aspirations, and the new developments in the educational arena. He pointed that the development of education sector is an urgent requirement necessary for the successive developments and the country tendencies in building a very ambitious and high-level educational system, and in keeping pace with our future aspirations in the transition to a society of sustainable knowledge-based economy.

 

In addition, the Council members valued the role and efforts of the MoE to establish an optimal educational framework contributing in high-quality educational achievements. They stressed that the meeting is very important and reflects the MoE’ keenness to take into consideration the education field opinions, and to strengthen channels of communication with parents and establish a positive atmosphere creating future ideas, visions and perceptions to promote the march and the quality of education.

 

During the fruitful discussions, the members of the Council highlighted a number of educational topics that concern the educational field, including the means to confront negative outcomes, if any, and to strengthen the roles of parents to contribute in the positive impact in the UAE School and the educational process, through the partnerships with the Ministry of Education and by converging the views to serve the interests of students and to develop the educational system.

 

In the same context, H. E. Al-Hammadi considers that the competition taking place in the world, especially in the education sector, and the need to create responsible national qualified leaders for the future, according to the wise leadership's vision who gives great support to education, require concrete efforts to be exerted by leaders of the educational process and the different civil and private institutions in the society, in order to realise achievements in the educational level and to give our students the necessary skills, values and sciences to be global citizens.

 

His Excellency Al-Hammadi pointed that the development in the educational process must be characterised by the acceleration based on conscious thought and extensive studies, that the Ministry is following, with the participation of the educational institutions and national expertise, to be the number one in our educational system, and competitive base for any future development.

 

He added that the MoE is seeking to expand the scope of local participation, especially in the education field, and the process of building efforts devoted to the best educational systems, in this context, the Ministry has established the Educational Leaders Council, Teachers Council and Parents' Leaders Council to contribute in planning of educational policies and establish a first-class education system.

 

H. E. Al-Hammadi explained that any decline or slowdown in the development process will have adverse effects. Therefore, in the current stage we have to continue forward in the field of qualitative improvement, which ensures an efficient educational system for our students, in all aspects and fields. He pointed that education is the future bet, as stressed and required by our wise leadership in light of the importance of creating future alternative developmental solutions, as the oil wealth is not permanent, and the human resources and science are the future wealth of the homeland.

 

His Excellency Al-Hammadi concluded by stressing that the importance of such meetings is to emerge the new thought that we find tangible reality through the ideas and visions presented by the Council's members. He stressed that the difference in views is a healthy trend that leads to the improvement. He added that the topics and discussions presented will be included in the MoE future strategic plans for the coming years in the near term; contributing in the improvement and development of integrated UAE educational institutions in terms of their global and inclusive trends and goals.
