The Ministry of Education
organized an introductory meeting for educational leaders to present developments
made on the Government Excellence System “The Fourth Generation”

Continuous coordination and team spirit work between the Ministry’s sectors is
essential for excellence and accomplishment of desired results.
The Ministry of Education
announced the launching of the Advanced Operational Engineering Project for the
design and management of various executive operations and to set a framework to
identify gaps and overlaps within processes, and to also design and develop
corporate processes and remedy duplication and overlapping and monitor
performance in order to accomplish the best effective government performance.
The announcement was made
during the meeting organized by the Department of Strategies and the Future at
the Ministry of Education in the 2071 building at the premises of the Ministry
in Dubai to present educational leaders at the Ministry with the latest
developments made on the Government Excellence System “The Fourth Generation”
in association with the Sheikh Khalifa Government Excellence Program, attended
by H.E Jameela Al Muhairi, Minister of State for Public Education, in addition
to Undersecretaries and Assistant Undersecretaries, the Government Excellence System
work teams, directors and the general public.
H.E Jameela Al Muhairi
emphasized during her address to attendees that the Government Excellence
System was setup to achieve better performance to realize the State’s national
indicators and agenda, and to expedite the cycle of advancement and achieve
leadership in applicable standards and extract the best programs, initiatives
and ideas that enrich the work of the government which will positively reflect
on provided services and the quality of performance in general.
Her Excellency stressed upon
attending educational leaders, experts and all those concerned the importance
of working as one team according to a clear and unified methodology and to
provide distinguished and outstanding performance to achieve the required
excellence standards followed by high quality outcomes.
Her Excellency accentuated
the significance
of continuous and regular coordination between the Ministry’s work teams to
ensure an precise vision and to achieve the requirements and determinants of
the Government Excellence System, emphasizing that reaching ultimate platforms
within this system is a vital goal we seek to accomplish, and the radical and qualitative changes made in the
educational system is worth highlighting, considering such achievements the
result of unceasing efforts from all members of the educational field, however,
a great deal of extra work still needs to be done to achieve the desired and
ambitious goals of a competitive education that transforms to a knowledge
economy society.
The meeting hosted H.E Mariam
Al Hammadi, Assistant Director General for Government Performance &
Excellence at the UAE Cabinet, to explain the latest developments and updates
made on the system in relation to modifications on the Government Excellence
System “The Fourth Generation” as well as the amendments made on the new
categories for Prime Ministerial medals where new categories and standards have
been determined for prime ministerial medals.
Mariam Al Hammadi explained
the amendments made on the participation mechanism under the best participating
service category and the expected timeframes for submission of applications in
the fifth edition of the Mohammad Bin Rashid Government Excellence Award,
highlighting the most significant excellence conceptions within the Fourth
Generation System and positive happiness, advancing abilities and highlighting
the importance of happiness and positivity and updating indicators and
inclusion of positive happiness indicators, in addition to the importance of
partnership and the role of all those concerned, accentuating the importance of
partnership between government, private and community establishments as well as
updating government accelerators and highlighting the importance of project and
initiative accelerators to expedite accomplishment of results, government
innovation and the importance of innovation, renewed thinking, research and
knowledge to produce creative solutions to serve everyone and the State. Her
Excellency also discussed the matter of joint comprehensive services and the
importance of establishing successful partnerships to provide new comprehensive
services through modern technologies.
Salem Al Quraini, Director of
the Department of Strategies & the Future at the Ministry of Education,
explained about the advanced corporate operations management system which aims
at designing and developing corporate processes and remedying duplication and
overlapping and monitoring performance in order to accomplish the best
effective government performance at the Ministry of Education. The presentation
included the method of submitting comments, and modification of processes by
the concerned parties at the Ministry.
