The
Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, in partnership with the Ministry
of Education and Universities, have launched “Wajihni”, the National Program
for field training and summer work, which is part of the " Emiratisation 360"
initiative. This is one of the initiatives aimed at educating Emirati youth about
the importance of working in the private sector and highlighting the benefits and
advantages it provides, through their professional guidance and empowering them
to become employed in this sector.
This
came during a ceremony held today at Zayed University in Dubai in the presence
of HE Nasser Bin Thani Al Hamli, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation
and HE Jameela Bint Salem Musabah Al Muhairi, Minister of State for Public
Education and a number of officials from both ministries and Zayed University.
The
program allows students to learn about the field training opportunities and
summer work offered by the private sector through the smart application
"Wajihni", which was developed by the Ministry of Human Resources and
Emiratisation in order to enable users to deal with it according to steps
characterized by ease and speed in Android and Apple Stores.
HE
Nasser Bin Thani Al Hamli expressed his pride in launching the program in the
year of Zayed and in a prestigious scientific building bearing the name of the
founder of the State, Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God have mercy on
him, who devoted his attention to building the UAE human being as pillars of
renaissance and development. This is the path that our wise leadership follows,
which adopts an approach and vision centered on the empowerment of UAE
citizens, particularly through the provision of appropriate jobs for them.
During
the ceremony, His Excellency said that Emiratisation is a national priority
that was reflected in the vision and strategic plan of the Ministry, which
adopted a new methodology to deal with the Emiratisation file to meet the
directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice
President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai “May God bless him”.
Such directives are based on three basic principles, which include considering
Emiratisation a shared responsibility, and the development of a strategic
framework for manpower planning, "Qualitative Emiratisation", in
addition to stimulating and encouraging employers and UAE citizens to establish
a working relationship between them.
He
stressed the strategic cooperation and partnership between the Ministry of
Human Resources and Emiratisation and the Ministry of Education and
Universities in the implementation of the "Wajihni Program" which
will enable students to build their abilities and skills in line with the needs
of the labor market and the requirements of their future jobs and will make
them benefit from the experiences and expertise in order to become aware of the
work environment in the various vital economic sectors.
