The Ministry of Education (MoE) has launched the
International Program Accreditation Portal (IPAP) for university programs,
which has been designed as a public portal that provides information about the
Strategic National KPI: The percentage of nationally accredited programs in
higher education institutions that have received international accreditation.
The portal was launched in the presence of a number of educational leaders in
the ministry along with members of the national executive team concerned with
the index, in addition to a group of quality officials in higher education
institutions.
Targeting all higher education institutions licensed by the
UAE Ministry of Education, the platform aims to achieve a set of objectives
which are providing information on internationally accredited university
programs across the UAE, providing a list of reliable international
accreditation bodies that act as a guide for higher education institutions in
their planning to seek international accreditation for their programs, and
providing a number of resources and references that can help institutions
obtain accreditation as well as providing a platform for the exchange of
experiences and news in this field between higher education institutions. The
platform serves as an official guide for higher education institutions in the
country and can be accessed through the link https://ipap.moe.gov.ae
The Ministry of Education explained that the Strategic
National KPI for the international accreditation of programs is a tool for
measuring the number of nationally accredited undergraduate programs that have
received an additional accreditation by a recognized international body. The
ministry indicated a number of conditions that universities must meet in order
to be qualified to be measured through the index including having an
international body that accredits the specialization of the program, in
addition that program must have, at least, graduated two batches.
