The
Minister of Education, His Excellency Hussein Al Hammadi, applauded the distinguished
partnership between the Ministry and the Central Bank, which resulted in a
joint initiative to issue the “Commemorative Dirham”. He believes that this
initiative will contribute to introducing the Emirati school on a large scale
and will spread the culture of excellence and innovation.
This was his Excellency's response to
the Central Bank introducing 250 thousand dirhams commemorating the
"Emirati School" with a diameter of 24 mm and weighing 6.10 grams,
whose metal mixture is made of nickel and copper. This was the fruit of a joint
bilateral initiative between the Ministry of Education and the Central Bank aimed at
promoting the education process in the UAE, and motivating it to progress and provide
the rationale for its social and institutional development.
His Excellency said that education in
the UAE has become one of the most modern educational systems and continues its
leadership because continuous development is an important feature to keep
abreast of the requirements and developments of the current times. He pointed
out that the Ministry of Education is working closely with various national
entities and institutions to introduce the Emirati school and disseminate its
concepts, principles, vision and mission, which enhances its presence in the
local and international arenas and meets the aspirations of the UAE wise
leadership to reach high quality education guaranteeing the distinct levels of
our students. This initiative with the UAE Central Bank is part of this
direction.
He stressed that the Ministry of
Education is keen to introduce the “Emirati School” system on a very wide scale
through cooperation and coordination with strategic partners in order to
achieve its educational vision, which aims to reach innovative education for a
leading knowledge society with global competitive advantages covering all age
levels and meeting the needs of the future labor market.
For his part, His Excellency
Abdulrahman Al Hammadi, Deputy Undersecretary for Supervision and Support
Services at the Ministry of Education, said that the circulation of the “Commemorative
Dirham” among members of the community will contribute to creating community
awareness of the objectives of the “Emirati School” system. He praised the
efforts of the Central Bank and the important partnership between the Ministry
of Education and governmental bodies in devoting the values of integration and
unifying visions towards achieving the educational system’s excellence and
quality, as one of the pillars of reaching sustainable development in the
country.
He explained that the Ministry of
Education is moving towards achieving effective quality education based on
innovation and creativity and able to provide educational outputs characterized
with competence and scientific know-how. Also, to equip our students with 21st
century skills through modern and integrated educational policies, programs and
practices aimed at providing students with higher thinking skills, creativity
and innovation, and enhancing the graduates’ ability to compete in the public
and private sectors labor markets, and keeping abreast of changes in the global
labor market.
For his part, the Central Bank
expressed its happiness for this constructive and fruitful cooperation which is
in the interest of the educational process, pointing out that this joint
initiative with the Ministry of Education comes within the framework of efforts
to consolidate the concept of partnership and unified institutional work to
promote the civilizational renaissance witnessed by the UAE.
The Central Bank stressed that
education is a national goal and the focus of the UAE wise leadership, which
has always directed towards the need for work and concerted efforts to achieve
a modern educational system that keeps abreast of the latest developments, and
the prominent position of the UAE and development at all levels, stems from
considering that education is a system on which all sectors of the country are
based and which constitutes the main engine for its work, progress and continuing
to reap the achievements in accordance with a deep vision that foresees
positive future prospects.
The
Bank pointed out that this initiative is a contribution through which we hope
to introduce the Emirati school on a wide scale, highlight the importance of
education and push it forward for further development and future successes.
