HE Hussain Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, yesterday Sunday
inaugurated the Second Teachers’ Curriculum Forum at Al Shawamekh School in Abu
Dhabi. The forum targets 23,000 male and female teachers in all disciplines,
classes and seminars and includes implementation of 1,250 specialized training courses.
The forum, held between January 6th and 10th 2019,
is aimed at developing and improving the performance of teachers across the UAE
and enhancing their teaching skills in line with the Ministry of Education’s objectives
and future educational vision in such a manner that reflects positively on the
outputs of education in the UAE school. This year, the forum will be held in 4
training sites in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the Teacher Training Institute in Ajman
and Sharjah.
As many as 250 workshops will be implemented daily at all training sites
for all subjects and a total of 1,250 workshops during the five days of the
forum.
The training is supervised by 426 male and female trainers from 40 participating
entities including the Prime Minister's Office, Khalifa University of Science
and Technology, United Arab Emirates University, University of Jordan, Sharjah
Center for Astronomy and Space Sciences and Khalifa Empowerment Program (Aqdar).
The forum was attended by HE Dr. Rabaa Al Sumaiti, Assistant Undersecretary
of Ministry of Education for the Performance Improvement Sector, HE Lubna Al
Shamsi, Deputy CEO for School Operations, and a large number of officials,
educationists and people concerned with education.
The forum is held with a view to enhancing the UAE wise
leadership’s vision to promote education and build a solid and integrated
systematic foundation that encompasses all the elements and ingredients of the
educational process, thereby bolstering the UAE aspirations for achieving extraordinary
and tangible results in the near future.
