Through
this participation, the Ministry aims to enhance its presence in local and
international exhibitions and forums and highlight the government's efforts in
an integrated manner by designating a vast platform to represent UAE and its
agenda with respect to innovation and educational technology.
The
Ministry of Education will take part in the Exhibition and Conference of
Educational Technology "BETT" in London, which will be held on
January 24, 2018 until 27th of this month. BETT will highlight the future,
prospects and importance of innovation and educational technology and its
modern applications.
The
delegation is headed by HE Eng. Abdul-Rahman Al-Hammadi, Deputy Minister of
Monitor and Ancillary Services at the Ministry of Education together with an
elite of educational experts, intellectuals and senior investors in addition to
international companies specialized in educational technology. Through this
participation, the Ministry aims to enhance its presence in local and
international exhibitions and forums and highlight the government's efforts in
an integrated manner by designating a vast platform to represent UAE and its
agenda with respect to innovation and educational technology.
The
Ministry of Education also seeks to introduce the UAE school model and the
current efforts to develop education the exceptional leaps it has made in
education. It also looks for new educational partnerships with view to
enriching education in the UAE and attain the utmost positive interaction by
keeping updated of the latest educational technology and developments in
addition to exchanging experience through the immersion in the seminars and
workshops held at BETT.
HE
Hussain Al Hammadi said that the Exhibition and Conference of Educational
Technology "BETT" is an important international educational event, we
are looking to optimally use this opportunity, by interacting with its
activities and strengthening the relation between the educational field and the
best practices, and modern educational tools, and to be in contact with the
education experiences.

added that the education and its tools are in continuous development, and we
have to keep pace with our education needs and the continuous development in
line with the best international systems.
HE
stressed that education is a priority in the vision of the country and the
aspirations of the wise leadership, and that such conferences and exhibitions
contribute to strengthening the efforts to develop education and linking the
ministry's employees, leaders and educators with Education developments.
HE
Eng. Abdulrahman Al Hammadi stressed that this event is a unique international
educational event as it combines dialogue, discussions and constructive
sessions between the educational leaders and experts as well as an educational
exhibition that includes the prospects for developments in the field of
educational technology, which in turn is an integration and a great benefit to
the participants.
He
pointed out that the Ministry of Education is keen to participate annually in
this event, and interact with it through a leading platform that comprises its
initiatives and programs. He added that this platform highlights the efforts
exerted by the UAE to improve education and manifests the developments it has
achieved. The Ministry of Education has provided its educational delegation
with an excellent opportunity to attend meetings and dialogues regarding
current educational issues, which in turn enhances the experiences of the
affiliates to UAE educational institution and allows to identify the
distinguished global models in the education sector globally.
The
Ministry is actively participating in the event through an integrated platform
that comprises partner platforms to highlight their presentations and
participations, namely, Etisalat, Department of Education and Knowledge, Abu
Dhabi Education and Vocational Training Institute, Ankabout, Emirates Space
Agency and Sharjah Education Council.
Through
its platform, the Ministry of Education reviews a range of leading educational
initiatives, programs and services, including our Ambassadors Initiative,
Masterpieces Initiative, the National Festival of Science, Technology and
Innovation, Digital Manufacturing (Fab Lab and Robot), the Fourth Industrial
Revolution Program, Virtual Reality (An opportunity to learn about the UAE
school model via virtual technology.
A
range of smart learning applications will also be reviewed, such as Smart
Classroom which comprises students and teachers' devices, smart screen,
distance learning, 3D printer, e-testing, interactive learning resources, and
smart council.
The
strategic partners will participate with presentations at the Ministry of
Education's Wing which will pivot around innovation in education and the role
of telecommunications institutions in e-learning, space, education and
research. Some of the Ministry's presentations include developing study skills
in the UAE school, Mohammed Bin Rashid Smart Learning Program and Emsat Examination.
The
Ministry of Education's presentations platform was designed like a book because
a book symbolizes the importance of reading and knowledge, while Sheikh Zayed's
picture (May Allah bless his soul) was taken from a book titled "Zayed:
from Challenge to Union" published by the National Archive. The Ministry
will work through its platform to promote "Year of Zayed" in
cooperation with the Founder's Office, which is affiliated to the Ministry of
Presidential Affairs.
The
Exhibition and Conference of Educational Technology (BETT) is the world's
largest in this field, providing the latest innovations in educational
technology more than 30 years, and hosting more than 35,000 visitors from
around the world from as of institutions, companies and individuals.
