The National Championship of the Series of
Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Competitions held under the patronage of
His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and
Minister of Presidential Affairs, has concluded. Organized by the Ministry of
Education (MoE), the championship continued for three days at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
During the closing ceremony, the MoE announced
that 75 male and female students won in the championship’s 28 competitions. The
winners thereby qualified for participation in 10 global competitions to be
held round this year in the USA, Australia, Brazil, France, Japan and the
Netherlands as well as 4 Arab competitions to be held in Egypt.

The MoE will do its utmost to increase the
readiness of the national robotics team members, who achieved dazzling results
during the National Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Championship, and will
provide them with all robotics and digital design expertise and practical
skills they need to be able to compete at the global level. To serve this purpose, the MoE has developed
an advanced training system in the areas of artificial intelligence and
robotics to begin in schools and continue in the specialized training centers set
by the MoE. As part of this training system, national competitions and various
training camps will be held.

At the end of the ceremony, Dr. Mohammed
Ibrahim Al Mualla, Undersecretary for Academic Affairs for Higher Education,
honored the winning teams as well as the partners, jury members and volunteers,
who co-organized the event. The honoring ceremony was attended by Eng. Khalfan
