Ministry of
Education (MOE) releases implementation plan of exams for elementary grades 1,
2 and 3. MOE embeds reformation programs which focus on developing the students’
performance.
In
accordance with the implementation plan referred to, the first term exams of
the grades stated will be held from 22 - 29 November in Arabic
language, mathematics, science, English language, religion and social studies.
The plan introduces
a training model of exam where students receive the model on the very day of
the exam but before the time of the actual one. The model is answered by
students collectively in oral or written form. This aims at preparing students
to start their exam away from stress. The subject competent teacher will be in
charge of applying the model.
The exams
set take into consideration the difference among the capacities of students in
the first, second and third grade as well as the psychological aspects of
students who had not taken the exam before. In preparing these exams, the MOE
depended on the learning outputs and skills included in the curriculum and the
variation between multi-choice and essay questions. The exam is divided into 20
questions; each is awarded 3 marks, while the score of the essay section is 40.
The school timetable is continued after the end of the exam.
The plan set
an independent evaluation of the people of determination pursuant to the
individual educational plan of each one of them. This allows the relevant
parties to be acquainted with the weaknesses of the targeted students and to
help them into broader horizons of developing their capacities and merging them
into the school community.
The plan
introduces reformative programs which develop the students’ performance after
holding the exam and identifying the actual performance.
The plan introduced complementary
roles that contribute to the development of the students’ performance with the
purpose of supporting the academic and educational processes and involving all
the relevant parties to formulate mechanisms that encourage positive
interaction among the parties of the educational process.
