The Most Important Projects and Initiatives of the Emarati School
The below initiatives and programs have a direct impact on the achievement of the desired objectives of the volunteerism.
1 Good Deeds Points
A program that aims at evaluating the volunteers' work and motivating them by offering them points called "Good Deeds Points" for their voluntary roles and achievements. Such accumulated points qualifies them for various privileges.
1.1 Specialized Volunteerism Tracks
A range of guided specialized volunteerism tracks through which volunteers are empowered to volunteer in specific areas of voluntary work specialization based on the skills and programs that have been acquired during the track's training course and successfully passed.
Notes:
1. Attending a volunteerism basics course is a requirement.
2. The specialized volunteerism track requires certain criteria that should be met by the candidate. For example: for the "Judging/ Arbitration" specialized volunteerism Track the applicant must be university student (scientific specialization), a giving ambassador, and a leader of volunteerism work.
2 Student's Volunteerism Award
A prize launched by the Ministry of Education in the areas of volunteering and community service where the volunteerism achievements of the individual, the community, and the entities are the most important criteria (e. g. volunteerism hours spent in volunteerism initiatives/ training programs, and outstanding contributions to volunteerism service and community programs).
2.1 The Volunteerism Council
Volunteerism Councils aim at interacting directly with volunteers, listening to their ideas and proposals, developing volunteerism programs, discussing different issues of volunteering and community service, putting forward ideas and initiatives that can be applied, and offering solutions to the challenges of volunteerism.
2.2 The Volunteerism Clubs
Within the Students' clubs project in the UAE schools, a voluntary club is established in each school that serves volunteerism programs, projects, school-based events and volunteering initiatives in the country according to the frameworks and regulations contained in this Guide.
2.3 Volunteerism Forum
A forum that brings together the proactive and interested people in volunteerism to exchange volunteerism experiences and best practices, in addition to motivating the volunteers and encouraging them to continue their engagement in voluntary work.
2.4 Ramadan Initiatives
The students of the Emarati schools are carrying out a series of activates and humanitarian during the month of Ramadan targeting special segments of society such as (senior citizens, people of determination, orphans, needy families).
