The Child Protection Unit is administratively affiliated to the Activities
Sector and reports to the Academic & Professional Counselling Department.
The unit aims at implementing the mechanisms and measures of child protection
in educational institutions as stipulated in the Federal Law No. (3) for 2016
and its executive regulations.
It also aims at implementing the child protection policy in public
and private educational institutions and maintaining Children’s rights,
particularly their right to education and protection as per the legislation and
the terms and conditions of the law.
These include protecting children from all forms of harm, negligence,
discrimination and abuse that they may experience in the surrounding
environment (home or school), by any person with jurisdiction, authority or
responsibility over the child or any relation whatsoever.
They also include providing a safe school environment for children to
feel protected from anything that threatens their survival or physical and
psychological health and from harm and sexual abuse
