The Ministry of Education announced the National Day and Eid Al Adha holidays yesterday morning. All public & private schools, kindergartens and adult learning centres that apply the curriculum of the Ministry of Education will have holidays beginning from Tuesday 2nd December till 11th December, hence, they will resume duties on Sunday 14th December. In cooperation with the education zones, education councils, the ministry announced a circular in this regard on condition they will compensate the holiday at the end of the academic year.
Mr. Rashid Lakraibani Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Ministry of Education, said: “The ministry took this decision after a long thorough study and consultations with the education councils and education zones and in coordination with the Ministry of Higher Education. It also sought the necessity of connecting these school days with the official holidays in order to achieve family stability and allow students to celebrate the national day and Al Adha Eid with their families”.
