As part of the Ministry of Education efforts to provide financial and social stability for teachers and achieve distinctive learning outcomes for the education field, the Ministry of Education decided to formulate a committee to review the teachers’ employment systems, salaries, evaluation system, and appraisal of the types of teaching staff leaves. The suggested amendments will be completed by the beginning of the school year 2009/2010 for the purpose of raising their quality performance, encouraging creativity and innovation among educators, enhancing the education process concepts and increasing the skills of teachers in order to achieve high efficient educational outcomes.
His Excellency Humaid Mohamed Al Qattami, issued a ministerial decision to formulate a common committee from the Ministry of Education and the Human Resources Federal Authority under the chairmanship of Ali Maihad Al Suwaid, Executive Director for Institutional and Supporting Services to study the current status of teachers’ vacations and review their amendments in order to guarantee teachers’ efficiency and quality performance.
His Excellency the Minister of Education emphasized that the committee’s tasks will extend to reviewing the current employment systems that are related to human resources bylaws pertaining to annual leaves as well sick and study vacations in addition to other procedures that look into raising quality assurance as well as attracting UAE graduates to work in the education field and creating an attractive educational environment for educators. The committee also seeks for achieving the visions of His Highness Sheikh Khelifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, UAE Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai and Members of the Supreme Council, Rulers of the other Emirates.
The committee includes from the Ministry of Education’s side: Foazia Gharib, Director of Sharjah Education Zone, Abdullah Hassan Abdullah Hamad, Director of Ras Al Khaimah Education Zone, Wedad Al Rumaithi and Khamis Al Shehi, from the Human Resources Department. While, members of the Human Resources Federal Authority are: Mariam Al Abbar, Khalifa Al Suwaid, Dalmook Al Muhairi and Dr. Hamdi Abdillah.
