His Excellency Humaid Moh’d Al Qutami was appointed as the Minister of Education in May 2009. He was the Minister of Health from 2006 to 2009. Born in 1959 and holds a Master Degree in Administration from Western Michigan University in U.S.A in 1985.
In addition to his Ministerial position he also holds the following positions:
- Chairman of the Board of the Federal Government Human Resources Authority.
- Chairman of the Senate Board of Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Excellent Educational Performance.
- Chairman of the Senate of Sharjah Award for Volunteer Work.
- Chairman of the Board of Directors of Emirates Transport and Services Establishment.
His Excellency has previously held the Ministry of Health Portfolio from 2006 – 2009, Chairman of the Civil Service Council until February 2008, Director General of Emirates Banking and Financial Studies Institute from 1991 – 2006, and Secretary General of Human Resources Committee in the Banking Sector from 1996 – 2006. His Excellency was also a member of the Elections National Committee in 2006, Member of Emiratization Higher Committee in the Insurance Sector from 1997 – 2006 , Member of the Board of Directors of National Human Resources Development Authority from 2001 – 2005. He also occupied the position of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Environment Friends Society from 1990 – 1997 and the Chairman of the Board f Directors of U.A.E. Volunteers Society from 1997 – 2006.
His Excellency was also a member of several Board of Directors of a number of companies and banks. |
