The United Arab Emirates is a federation which consists of seven emirates: Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras al-Khaimah, Sharjah, and Umm al-Quwain. The largest one is the emirate of Abu Dhabi which contains the nation's capital city Abu Dhabi.
